Compare the scope behind the headline price
A registration quote is easier to compare when every proposal describes the same company and the same work. A headline amount may cover only professional assistance, while statutory charges or other items are separate. Ask for a written breakdown before paying. A low starting price alone does not tell you the total payable or what happens if the application needs clarification.
- Which entity and incorporation work does the quote cover?
- Which statutory charges are included or estimated separately?
- Are digital signatures included, and for how many people?
- How are taxes, additional applications and clarification work treated?
Give the office enough information to quote
Share the proposed activity, owners, registered-office arrangement and funding plans. Mention overseas participation or unusual ownership arrangements at the start. Confirm whether the structure has been decided or whether you first need advice comparing a company, LLP and OPC. These details help identify the engagement; they should not be replaced with a generic package name.
Separate incorporation from ongoing work
Ask what you will receive at completion and which tasks follow. Banking coordination, maintaining accounts, GST work, income tax, audit and company compliance may be separate engagements. Keep a clear list of what is included, what is optional and who is responsible for each next task. Requirements depend on the entity and its circumstances.
- Incorporation records and application acknowledgements
- Any follow-up questions still open
- An explanation of the next records and compliance tasks
- Professional fees for continuing work, if proposed
Ask how changes and queries will be handled
Confirm the point of contact, how missing records will be requested and what happens if the proposed name or documents need changes. Approval and processing depend on the authority and the application. Ask for a realistic explanation of dependencies rather than relying on a guaranteed completion date.
Bring two proposals to the same comparison
For each proposal, write the professional fee, separately identified charges, deliverables, exclusions and continuing work on one sheet. Where an item is unclear, ask before deciding. Our Krishna Nagar office can discuss a scope based on your proposed business; an enquiry does not commit you to an engagement.
